The African Football Confederation stated that what happened in the final between Morocco and Senegal will be referred to the relevant authorities to take appropriate action.
The Confederation condemned the unacceptable behavior from Senegalese players and officials “without naming them” during the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations final in Morocco 2025.
It said, “The African Football Confederation strongly condemns any inappropriate behavior occurring during matches, especially those targeting the refereeing team or the organizers of the match. The Confederation is reviewing all footage and will refer the matter to the relevant authorities to take appropriate action against those found guilty.”
