The regional directorate of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool Education, and Sports in Tiznit announced a temporary suspension of classes tomorrow, Monday, in all public and private educational institutions across the region, due to the heavy rainfall that the area has experienced.
According to a statement from the regional directorate, this decision comes as a result of the heavy rain that Tiznit Province has experienced yesterday and this morning, which led to the flow of valleys and streams in the region with significant loads that may pose a danger to road users and paths in this region, including the movement of students and administrative and educational staff.
The statement clarified that this measure was taken based on the recommendations of the regional vigilance committee and in coordination with the relevant authorities, noting that classes will resume normally starting from Tuesday, January 20, at the usual times.
The regional directorate urged managers, associations of mothers, fathers, and guardians of students, and school transport associations to maintain communication with the regional directorate and local authorities throughout the duration of this climatic instability to ensure the safety of those attending educational institutions.
