The CAF punishes Samuel Eto’o for misconduct in the Morocco vs. Cameroon match.

The Disciplinary Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) issued a charge against the President of the Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT), Samuel Eto’o, for misconduct following the Africa Cup of Nations Total Energies Morocco 2025 match between Morocco and Cameroon in Rabat, which took place on January 9, 2026.

The CAF Disciplinary Committee stated that Eto’o is guilty of violating the principles of sportsmanship outlined in Article 2(3) of the CAF Statutes and Article 82 of the CAF Disciplinary Code, due to his misconduct during the aforementioned match.
