The Minister of Justice, Abdellatif Wahbi, reported that the judicial offices established within the stadiums hosting the Africa Cup of Nations – Morocco 2025, dealt with approximately 60 cases related to recorded violations, which were resolved immediately.
The minister explained, during the opening of the international scientific forum on “Security of Major Sports Events: Security and Legal Challenges in Light of Digital Transformations,” that these violations were addressed within the stadiums that hosted the Africa Cup of Nations matches, without the need to transfer those involved to police stations, with fines being paid on the spot, highlighting the effectiveness of this experience and its positive impact.
On another note, Wahbi emphasized the level of discipline that characterized the atmosphere within the stadiums hosting the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, considering that football possesses a “moral authority” over the fans, contributing to behavior regulation and enhancing mutual respect.
