In the round of 16 match for the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 held in Morocco, the host Moroccan team managed to overcome their Tanzanian counterpart with a score of 1-0, in the match that took place this evening, Sunday, at the Prince Moulay Abdullah Stadium in Rabat.
The “Atlas Lions” dominated the flow of the game from the start, as their ball possession percentage exceeded 70% in the first half, but the organized Tanzanian defense prevented any goals from being scored until the end of the first 45 minutes, ending in a goalless draw of 0-0.
In the second half, star Ibrahim Diaz (Real Madrid player) broke the silence in the 64th minute with a wonderful goal, benefiting from a decisive pass from Achraf Hakimi, to give Morocco the lead and secure qualification for the quarter-finals.
