Hamid Mahdawi revealed that a source from within the temporary committee for journalism and the National Council for Journalism, who leaked the videos showing the controversial discussions of the ethics committee.
Mahdawi stated that a source from the administration is responsible for the leak, attributing it to their refusal of what was issued by the committee members and their desire to change these circumstances.
The disclosure of the source came after the committee threatened legal action to hold the person responsible for leaking the secret discussions of the ethics committee accountable.
According to the journalist, the committee members attempted several times to stop the recording, but the camera continued to capture the clips.
Regarding accusations from the committee that the clips are fabricated and not real, and that they have been subjected to editing, Mahdawi stated that he is willing to have his clips subjected to expertise.
