Al-Zamouri Urges Constitutional Union Members to ‘Emigrate’

Mohamed Zamouri, a member of parliament and regional coordinator of the Constitutional Union Party, has urged party members to consider migrating in search of a better political institution, citing the current state of affairs within the party.

Zamouri launched an unprecedented attack on the current Secretary General, Mohamed Goudar, stating that he does not recognize him as the party leader, claiming his appointment was achieved through “fraud.”

These remarks were made during a meeting with party members in Tangier, who demanded clarity regarding the situation of the Constitutional Union, deeming the party to be in a state of “death” and expressing their unwillingness to be associated with its decline.

In response to a question from Younes Chawati, who shared Zamouri’s remarks, the seasoned politician expressed his embarrassment over the current state of the party, asserting that he is “dissatisfied” with its condition. He emphasized that if the situation persists, the party is likely to secure only between 7 and 10 seats in the parliament at best.

Zamouri held Goudar accountable for the ongoing issues, stating that he is “unconcerned” and preoccupied with his numerous positions and vehicles. He then reiterated his call for members to “migrate” for the benefits that such a move could entail.
