On the morning of July 8, Moroccan Royal Navy personnel were dispatched to recover the body of an unidentified individual found floating in the waters off Tangier.
The deceased is believed to be a foreign national, approximately in his fifties or sixties, potentially from a European country. His identity remains unknown, as do the circumstances surrounding his death. Sources indicate that he had not been in the water for an extended period, based on the condition of the body.
Following the recovery, the Royal Navy handed the corpse over to local authorities. It has been transferred to the morgue at the “Duc de Tovar” Hospital for a medical examination to determine the cause of death. Relevant security services have initiated standard investigative procedures in response to the incident.
