Taxi professionals in Tangier have requested a meeting with Governor Younes El Tazi after encountering obstacles with the economic department.
On Tuesday, July 8, the local coordination group for small taxi operators submitted an urgent request for a meeting. This action stems from the deteriorating state of small taxi services in Tangier, exacerbated by recent developments that have caused significant confusion and tension among professional drivers.
The coordination group specifically noted the lack of reasonable solutions from the economic and social department, attributing this issue to the absence of a genuine participatory approach that supports the interests of this vital sector.
The drivers propose the establishment of a technical committee under the governor’s supervision to directly address and resolve the problems facing small taxi operations in Tangier.
