A woman has reported that she was expelled from a swimming pool in Morocco due to her wearing a hijab, expressing her surprise at such a decision in a predominantly Muslim country. She noted that she has not encountered similar issues in the United States.
Kawther Nouri, a social media activist, shared footage from inside the pool, stating that she and her family were asked to leave because of her hijab.
Following the video’s widespread circulation in Morocco, where similar incidents reportedly occur annually, Nouri expressed her astonishment at the pool’s policy. She mentioned visiting various hotels and resorts in the United States, including in Florida, without facing any prohibitions.
Nouri pointed out that some of the resorts she visited in the U.S. also serve alcohol, yet she faced no restrictions regarding her religious beliefs or her ability to swim and enjoy time with her husband and children.
