A taxi driver in Tangier was involved in a confrontation with a customer over a fare dispute, as shown in a widely circulated video on social media. This incident comes amid reports of an increase in the minimum taxi fare.
According to a source interviewed by Tanja7, the disagreement was not related to the trip’s cost. Instead, it stemmed from a refusal by the driver to accept a 100 dirham bill, leading to an angry response from the passenger.
In reaction to the customer’s protest, the driver exited the vehicle and verbally assaulted the passenger, resulting in a physical altercation between the two.
