Sources have confirmed that the driver responsible for the incident involving the child, Ghaitha, has been placed in pre-trial detention pending his trial.
The court will hold its first session regarding this case on Monday, June 23.
Authorities dealt firmly with the situation, arresting the driver on the previous Friday. Following the completion of interrogation procedures, the public prosecutor at the primary court in Berrechid decided to charge him while in custody for causing a traffic accident resulting in severe injuries and for driving under inappropriate conditions.
According to informed sources, the law has been strictly enforced against the individual responsible for the incident throughout all stages of the preliminary investigation and questioning by the public prosecutor.
The case is currently before the judiciary, which is responsible for determining accountability and imposing legal penalties.
The incident occurred on Sunday, June 15, when the driver was involved in a traffic accident at Sidi Rahal beach, which resulted in serious injuries to Ghaitha, who is currently receiving intensive medical care in a hospital.
