King Mohammed VI sent a congratulatory message to Donald Trump, the President of the United States of America, on the occasion of his country’s national holiday celebration.
In the message, His Majesty the King stated, “On the occasion of the United States of America celebrating on July 4th the 250th anniversary of its independence, I am pleased to send you, on my own behalf and on behalf of the Moroccan people, my sincerest congratulations and best wishes.”
He added, “This anniversary also marks 250 years since the beginning of strong and stable relations between our two nations. Morocco, which was the first country to recognize the independence of the United States of America, values this unique and distinguished relationship highly.”
He affirmed in his message that these deep-rooted relations, based on values of deep friendship and loyalty, “have never been as rich and giving” as during the two presidential terms of President Donald Trump, recalling that his historic recognition of Morocco’s sovereignty over its Sahara “will remain engraved in the memory of Moroccans for generations.”
The King praised the level of trade exchanges and economic relations, which “have never been as dynamic,” noting his certainty that the bilateral relations of the two countries are heading towards “their best phases.”
On another note, he highlighted the security and military cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the United States of America as “a model of excellence,” and “a fundamental pillar” for protecting the citizens of both countries and defending their shared values, and preserving their interests, (…) citing His Majesty the maneuvers of “African Lion” hosted by Morocco.
He concluded his message to the American president by reaffirming the steadfast commitment to move forward in enhancing and deepening these relations between the Moroccan and American nations.
