FIFA Allows World Cup Players to Use ‘Viagra’

British reports indicated that FIFA has allowed the English national team players to use Viagra to cope with the altitude in the legendary Estadio Azteca against Mexico.

This stadium is considered one of the toughest stadiums in the world due to its high elevation above sea level, which is 7,350 feet (around 2,240 meters), causing rapid physical fatigue and difficulty in breathing for players coming from lower elevations.

FIFA Allows the Use of Viagra

According to British press reports, FIFA granted the English players permission to use Viagra to combat fatigue caused by the high altitude. The newspaper “The Sun” reported from sources close to the national team that players can use the medication if they wish, as some studies have shown its ability to reduce fatigue associated with physical exertion in elevated areas.

Polymarket Sports, a specialized account, confirmed that this measure was officially taken to assist the English national team before facing Mexico.

Mexico’s Fearsome Record at “Azteca”

The Mexican national team (“El Tri”) has an impressive historical record at their home stadium, having lost only two out of 89 matches played at Estadio Azteca, with the last defeat occurring in 2013. This record makes the matchup more challenging for Thomas Tuchel and his players.

England After a Tough Victory

England reached the Round of 16 after a hard-fought victory over the Democratic Republic of Congo with a score of 2-1 on July 1 in the Round of 32. The players are suffering from a tight schedule, having not had enough time to rest and recover before traveling to Mexico.

Nevertheless, the English national team boasts a distinguished group of stars led by Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka, and Declan Rice, who give English fans great hope for ending their long drought of major titles.

Will Viagra be the “Secret Weapon”?

This decision is stirring significant controversy in football circles, as the use of such medications is considered unconventional in soccer, even though FIFA has allowed it in this particular case to address the altitude issue.

Global audiences are eagerly awaiting this fiery matchup, which could be one of the highlights of the Round of 16 in the 2026 World Cup.
