England Triumphs 3-2 Over Mexico: Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane Propel 10-Man Three Lions to Quarter-Finals

In a thrilling showdown at the Azteca Stadium, England delivered their finest performance of the World Cup, clinching a dramatic victory over Mexico and earning a place in the quarter-finals against Norway.

The match, filled with sporting drama and delayed by an hour due to severe storms, saw Thomas Tuchel’s squad navigate through adversity, including Jarell Quansah’s red card early in the second half, to achieve one of their most remarkable wins in recent history.

Despite Mexico’s impressive record of only two losses in 89 competitive matches at their Azteca stronghold, England’s composed strategy allowed them to take control when the exceptional Jude Bellingham netted two goals within 98 seconds just before halftime.

England’s goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford, showcased his talent with two brilliant saves from Raul Jimenez, but he couldn’t prevent Julian Quinones from scoring a powerful goal for Mexico three minutes before the break.

With the atmosphere electric, Mexico pressed forward, especially after Quansah received a red card for a high tackle on Jesus Gallardo. Nonetheless, England regained their two-goal advantage when Harry Kane converted a penalty after Anthony Gordon was fouled by Mexico’s goalkeeper, Raul Rangel.

Just as England seemed to be regaining control, Kane inadvertently fouled Brian Gutierrez in the box, leading to Jimenez scoring from the subsequent penalty kick.

With England under mounting pressure and the atmosphere frantic, Tuchel responded by introducing Dan Burn and Djed Spence, shifting to a five-man defense to withstand 11 minutes of stoppage time and secure an impressive victory.
