The World Cup.. Spain is worried about Trump’s intervention in favor of Morocco!!

The host city for the 2030 World Cup final has not been officially determined yet, but within the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), there is increasing concern about the possibility of the final being held in Morocco due to strong external pressures.

Journalist Juanma Castaño on the “Partidazo” program on COPE radio claimed, citing reliable information, that there is a real fear within the Spanish federation of a scenario that moves the final to Morocco.

The Role of Donald Trump in the Battle

According to leaked information, U.S. President Donald Trump is the main driving force behind this pressure. It is noted that he exerts “very clear pressure” in favor of Morocco, considering the kingdom a “strategic partner” for his country. It was also mentioned that Trump has a “particular dislike” for Spain, which explains part of this stance.

The Battle for Centers of Power in the World Cup

The Spanish fears go beyond just the final, as the competition for hosting the International Press Center, a sensitive and unique site in organizing the tournament, also heats up.

Madrid and Casablanca are directly competing for this center. In a strong reaction, the Madrid City Council launched a “clear challenge” to ensure the final remains in Spain. The Spanish capital communicated its position to the organizing bodies with a firm statement: “We want to be the International Press Center only if the final is held in Madrid.”

This condition reflects a clear Spanish insistence on hosting the flagship event of the tournament and constitutes a strong leverage against the organizing committee for the 2030 World Cup, which is being co-organized by Morocco, Spain, and Portugal.

Negotiations and political pressures continue behind the scenes, while football fans await the determination of the final’s fate, which is considered the most important match in World Cup history.
