The Ethics Committee of the Royal Football Federation decided to suspend Bassam Al-Aqeel, the president of the Tangier Beach Soccer Club, from participating in any football activities for a period of 6 months and fined him 2 million centimes.
This decision came according to the committee due to “his causing chaos during the match that took place on November 12, 2025, between the Aqadir Falcons team and the Tangier Beach Soccer Club, in the context of the third round of the playoff stage of the national beach soccer championship, and directing insults and threats toward the president of the National League of Various Football, in addition to causing material losses to the equipment of the Aqadir beach stadium.”
Resignation
Before the decision was issued, Al-Aqeel had announced his resignation from the position of president of the Tangier Beach Soccer Club starting from January 21, 2026.
Al-Aqeel stated that special circumstances, which he refused to mention, prevented him from continuing to perform his duties with the same dedication and enthusiasm required by a professional club of the size and ambition of the team.
