The Disciplinary Committee of the African Football Confederation decided to suspend Senegal’s coach Pape Thiaw for 5 official CAF matches due to what it described as unsportsmanlike behavior and a violation of the principles of fair play and integrity, harming the image of football.
The decision came after the coach incited the players to withdraw from the Africa Cup of Nations final against Morocco.
In addition to the suspension, it was decided to fine him 100,000 US dollars.
