The General Directorate of Meteorology reported that snowfalls, cold weather, and heavy rain are expected to start from today, Tuesday, until next Thursday, in several regions of the kingdom.
The Directorate clarified, in an alert bulletin of “Orange” vigilance level, that snowfalls are expected to start from elevations of 1400 meters, with measurements ranging from 10 to 20 cm in the provinces and regions of Ifrane, Khénifra, Midelt, Boulemane, Sefrou, Jerada, and Taza, and between 05 and 10 cm in Azilal, Béni Mellal, and Tinghir, starting from today, Tuesday, at 11:00 AM until tomorrow, Wednesday, at 6:00 AM.
The Directorate added that cold weather is expected, with temperatures ranging between minus 04 and minus 09 degrees in the provinces and regions of Tinghir, Al Haouz, Midelt, Boulemane, Ouarzazate, Taroudant, Azilal, Béni Mellal, and Ifrane, and between 00 degrees and minus 03 degrees in Figuig, Khénifra, Chichaoua, Sefrou, Taza, and Jerada, on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The same source indicated that heavy rainfalls (from 40 to 50 mm) are expected in the provinces and regions of Larache, Al Hoceima, Tetouan, M’diq, Fnideq, Chefchaouen, Fahs-Anjra, Tangier, Asilah, Wazzan, and Taza, starting from tomorrow, Wednesday, at 1:00 PM until the day after tomorrow, Thursday, at 9:00 AM.
The same weather phenomenon is also expected in the provinces and regions of Sefrou, Ifrane, Taza, Azilal, Béni Mellal, Khénifra, and Midelt, starting from tomorrow, Wednesday, at 9:00 PM until the day after tomorrow, Thursday, at 11:00 PM.
