The General Directorate of Meteorology reported that snowfall and a wave of cold weather with occasionally strong gusts of wind are expected from today, Tuesday, until next Thursday in several regions of the kingdom.
The Directorate clarified, in an alert bulletin at an “orange” vigilance level, that snowfall is expected starting from an altitude of 1200 meters (from 15 to 25 cm) in the provinces and regions of Ifrane, Boulemane, Khénifra, Al Haouz, Tinghir, Taroudant, Ouarzazate, Midelt, Azilal, and Béni Mellal, from today, Tuesday, at 11 AM until 11 PM.
The same source added, in an alert bulletin at an “orange” vigilance level, that snowfall is also expected starting from an altitude of 900 meters (from 5 to 10 cm) in the provinces and regions of Taza, Chichawa, Figuig, Driouch, Jradat, Taourirt, Sefrou, Al Hoceima, Jerif, Berkane, and Oujda Angad, from today, Tuesday, at 11 AM until tomorrow, Wednesday, at 8 AM.
The Directorate also stated, in an alert bulletin at an “orange” vigilance level, that a wave of cold is also anticipated with temperatures ranging between minus 4 and minus 13 degrees in the provinces and regions of Tinghir, Al Haouz, Azilal, Béni Mellal, Ifrane, Midelt, and Boulemane, and between 0 degrees and minus 6 degrees in the provinces and regions of Jradat, Taourirt, Khénifra, Sefrou, Al Hoceima, Jerif, Taza, Chefchaouen, Figuig, and Chichawa, from today, Tuesday, until next Thursday.
The Directorate also mentioned, in an alert bulletin at an “orange” vigilance level, that strong gusts of wind ranging from 75 to 85 km/h are expected in the provinces and regions of Boulemane, Midelt, Nador, Jradat, Figuig, Driouch, Al Haouz, Tiznit, Tinghir, Taroudant, Sidi Ifni, Ouarzazate, Guelmim, and Assa-Zag, from today, Tuesday, at 11 AM until tomorrow, Wednesday, at 3 AM.
