The General Directorate of Meteorology reported that strong rain, sometimes with thunderstorms, and occasionally strong wind gusts and snowfall are expected from today, Saturday, until the day after tomorrow, Monday, in several regions of the kingdom.
The Directorate clarified, in a warning bulletin of “Red” alert level, that strong rain is expected, sometimes with thunderstorms, (from 80 to 100 mm) in the provinces of Inzegane-Ait Melloul, Chtouka-Ait Baha, Agadir-Ida Ou Tanane, Taroudant, and Essaouira, from today, Saturday, at 1 PM until tomorrow, Sunday, at 6 PM.
The Directorate indicated, in a warning bulletin of “Orange” alert level, that the same phenomenon is expected (from 35 to 55 mm) in the provinces of Safi, Chichaoua, Sidi Bennour, Khenifra, Youssoufia, Tiznit, Al Haouz, Khouribga, Settat, Azilal, Beni Mellal, and El Jadida, and (from 20 to 30 mm) in the provinces of Rabat, Salé, Khemisset, Nouacer, Mohammedia, Mediouna, Casablanca, Rehamna, Qalaat es Saraghna, Marrakech, Berrechid, Fqih Ben Saleh, Temara-Skhirat, Benslimane, and Kenitra, from today, Saturday, at 1 PM until tomorrow, Sunday, noon.
The same phenomenon (from 50 to 80 mm) will affect the provinces of Tangier-Assilah, M’diq-Fnideq, Tetouan, Larache, Fahs-Anjra, Chefchaouen, Taounate, and Al Hoceima, starting tomorrow, Sunday, at 3 AM until noon of the day after tomorrow, Monday.
The Directorate added, in a warning bulletin of “Orange” alert level, that strong wind gusts (from 70 to 85 km/h) are expected in the regions of Sefrou, Al Hoceima, Chefchaouen, Fahs-Anjra, Larache, Tangier-Assilah, Tetouan, Ouarzazate, Kenitra, M’diq-Fnideq, El Hajeb, Ifrane, Rehamna, Youssoufia, Essaouira, Nouacer, Rabat, Salé, Temara-Skhirat, Benslimane, Berrechid, Safi, Sidi Bennour, Marrakech, Casablanca, Figuig, Chichaoua, El Jadida, Mohammedia, Qalaat es Saraghna, Settat, Midelt, Jerada, and Mediouna, starting today, Saturday, at 1 PM until noon tomorrow, Sunday.
Moreover, the Directorate reported in a warning bulletin of “Orange” alert level, that snow is expected in the provinces of Midelt, Tinghir, Azilal, Ouarzazate, Al Haouz, Taroudant, and Chichaoua starting from 2000 meters (from 20 to 50 cm), beginning today, Saturday, at 1 PM until the day after tomorrow, Monday, at 11 PM.
