Ismailia Electricity Club Signs Moroccan Player Mohammed Onajem
On Sunday, the Egyptian football club Ismailia Electricity announced the signing of Moroccan player Mohammed Onajem.
The former player for Wydad Casablanca and Zamalek in Egypt, as well as Al Suqour in Libya, has signed a contract with Ismailia Electricity for a duration of two seasons. This marks the club’s first ascension to the Egyptian Premier League in its history.
Onajem enjoyed a notable nine-year tenure with Wydad Casablanca, winning multiple national and African championships. He played for Zamalek from 2019 to 2021, featuring in 64 matches, scoring five goals, and providing ten assists, contributing to the club’s four domestic and continental titles.
His most recent stint was with Al Suqour during the 2024-2025 season before deciding to pursue a new journey in the Egyptian league.
Onajem’s acquisition is the third signing for Ismailia Electricity during the current summer transfer window, part of the club’s strategy to strengthen its squad in preparation for the upcoming season.
