Government Council Sets Date for Launch of Regional Health Group in Tangier

The Moroccan government council, led by Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, will meet on Thursday to determine the operational start date for the regional health group in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region. The agenda will also include discussions on significant legislation and regulations.

According to a statement from the government, the council will begin with the review of two key draft laws. The first focuses on regional agencies for planning and housing, aiming to enhance their role in improving infrastructure and providing adequate housing, thereby supporting sustainable development across various regions of the country. The second draft law pertains to the transformation of the National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines into a joint-stock company, seeking to restructure the office for increased efficiency and a more transparent and effective management of natural resources.

Additionally, the council will continue with discussions on four draft regulations targeting improvements in the health and education sectors. The first regulation establishes a model regulatory framework for health professionals within regional health groups, aimed at organizing their work and improving the quality of healthcare services. The second regulation seeks to amend provisions regarding supplementary salaries for medical, pharmaceutical, and dental faculty researchers, supporting scientific research and medical training. The third regulation specifies the actual start date for the regional health group in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region to ensure comprehensive health services. Finally, the fourth regulation addresses updates to the legal framework governing the faculty of medical, pharmaceutical, and dental researchers to enhance their effectiveness.

In conclusion, the council will discuss proposals for high-level appointments in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution.
