The judicial police force in the Sidi Bernoussi security area of Casablanca opened a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor on Wednesday, July 8, to determine the circumstances and details of an attempt to smuggle 45 kilograms of cocaine.
Preliminary information from the investigation indicates that the national security services received a notification regarding the discovery by employees of an international import company of a shipment of cocaine inside a container that was transporting food products, which was imported via maritime routes from one of the Latin American countries.
Initial examinations revealed that this shipment consisted of 41 slabs totaling 45 kilograms of cocaine, with a GPS locating device found among these narcotic materials.
The judicial police services of the Casablanca security district continue judicial investigation procedures in this case under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor, including utilizing international security cooperation channels, in order to uncover all the circumstances and details of this case and to identify the involved parties both locally and internationally.
