The Television Academy will announce the nominees for the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards this Wednesday, with Deadline providing live updates as they unfold. Keep checking back for the full list, which will also feature the Creative Arts Emmys.
The excitement kicked off early with the announcement of nominees in two categories—the newly established Outstanding Variety Series and Outstanding Reality Competition Program—on NBC’s Today. Following this, the Academy will continue revealing nominations at 8:30 a.m. PT during a ceremony hosted by The Bear star Liza Colón-Zayas and Somebody Somewhere actor Jeff Hiller, both of whom are past Emmy winners.

Keep in mind that some shows anticipated to receive nominations are ineligible this year for various reasons.
Winners of the 2026 Emmy Awards will be celebrated on Monday, September 14, instead of the usual Sunday slot, to avoid conflict with an NFL game on NBC. The event will take place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles and will be hosted by the iconic Mariska Hargitay, who is set to launch Law & Order: SVU into its 28th season this fall.
