Security Directorate Investigates Alleged Thefts in Flood Areas of Ksar al-Kabir

The Directorate General of National Security categorically denied the registration of cases of theft and looting in the areas affected by the recent floods in the city of Ksar el Kebir, which were falsely promoted and exaggerated on social media.

The Directorate confirmed in a statement that its services in the city of Ksar el Kebir had not received, until Friday, January 30, any notification or report regarding thefts in commercial premises or health facilities in the city, as mentioned in digital content circulating in the digital space. This information was verified after reviewing with the owners of the premises that were claimed to have been robbed.

In contrast, the National Security Directorate emphasized that all its services and operational units are mobilized alongside other public forces to ensure security and public order in the city of Ksar el Kebir. They are intensively deployed to implement strict security protocols to ensure the firm application of the law against any attempts to undermine the safety of individuals and property.

It is noteworthy that the city of Ksar el Kebir is experiencing exceptional situations due to the heavy rains that have fallen in the region, leading to flooding, which prompted the municipality to cut electricity in several areas and erect sand barriers.
