The Paris police have decided to ban gatherings of football fans on the occasion of the Africa Cup of Nations final on Sunday (at 20:00), the ban is expected to last until two in the morning on Monday.
Reports on Saturday revealed that the police decided not to allow any gatherings of fans on the Champs-Élysées. The administrative decision dated January 16 stated: “The gathering of persons claiming to be fans of the football teams participating in the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 or who behave as such is prohibited within the specified area (from the Louvre to the May Gate).”
