The General Directorate of Meteorology expects that today, Friday, the weather will continue to be relatively cold to locally cold in the Atlas, the Rif, and the southeastern regions, as well as in the high plateaus.
Rain or locally thunderous rain showers are anticipated in the Rif, the Tangier region, the Loukos area, the Mediterranean coast, the Saïss, the Atlas, and its nearby western plains, and in the Atlantic plains located north of Essaouira.
The sky will also be partially cloudy with light rain expected in Souss, in the northern southern regions, and in the eastern area.
The Directorate also forecasts snowfall over the Rif and the High and Middle Atlas at altitudes exceeding 1300 meters, as well as in the high plateaus starting from 1600 meters. Furthermore, moderately strong gusts of wind are expected locally in the south of the country, along the Mediterranean coast, and in the Atlas.
Minimum temperatures will range between minus 6 and minus 1 degrees in the Atlas mountains, between 0 and 4 degrees in both the Rif and the eastern region, and between 11 and 16 degrees near the coast, while temperatures will be between 8 and 11 degrees in other parts of the country.
As for daytime temperatures, they will rise in the southeastern region, the eastern area, and the south of the country, while slightly decreasing or remaining mostly unchanged in the other regions.
The sea will be moderately rough to rough in the Mediterranean and the Strait of Gibraltar, becoming rough to very rough between Cape Spartel and Tarfaia and along the other coasts. It will be moderately rough to rough between Tarfaia and Laayoune.
