A video clip shared by a French influencer gained millions of views after it captured the intervention of a Moroccan tourist police officer against some young men suspected of disturbing a tourist in the Jemaa el-Fnaa square in Marrakech.
The young men were chatting with the tourist when the officer quickly intervened and demanded that they explain what they were doing, assuring the tourist that “they have no right to disturb her.”
This clip circulated widely on social media in France, receiving praise for the officer and the Moroccan police in general, with many asserting that such proactive interventions should be implemented in their country and worldwide for the sense of security and preventive action they provide.
It is worth noting that the tourist indicated that the young men were joking with her and were not disturbing her at all, especially since she was conducting a live broadcast from the square on a special platform on New Year’s Eve.
