The General Directorate of Meteorology expects that today, Saturday, the general weather will be characterized by relatively cold conditions in the Atlas Mountains, the southeast, and the eastern region.
Heavy rains and thunder showers will affect the regions of Souss, Abda, and Shelhama, in addition to rain and showers in the northern half of the country and the northwest desert regions of the Kingdom.
Snowfall is also expected in the peaks of both the Atlas and Rif mountains and the eastern high plateaus whose altitude exceeds 1800 meters.
It is anticipated that there will also be somewhat strong to strong gusts of wind along the northern and central Atlantic coastal areas, in the Atlas Mountains, the eastern region, and the southeast, as well as in the southern part of the country.
Minimum temperatures will range between minus 5 and 0 degrees in the Atlas Mountains, 4 and 8 degrees in the Rif and high plateaus, and 16 and 18 degrees in the desert regions, while they will be between 12 and 17 degrees in other areas.
As for maximum temperatures, they will decrease.
The sea will be calm to slightly rough in the Mediterranean, rough to very rough in the Strait of Gibraltar, very rough to extremely rough between Larache and Tan-Tan, and rough to very rough along the rest of the coasts.
