As for Friday, January 2, 2026, the General Directorate of Meteorology expects relatively cold conditions in the mountainous areas of the Atlas and the eastern region.
Foggy patches are expected to form along the Mediterranean coast, in the Moulouya Valley, and locally along the southern coasts. Rain or showers will affect the coasts and plains of the central Atlantic and the Souss area and northern regions of the southern provinces.
The sky will be cloudy with rainfall over the northern Atlantic plains and western desert regions. Minimum temperatures will range between minus 05 and 00 degrees in the highlands. Between 04 and 08 degrees in the Rif and high plateaus. Between 04 and 08 degrees in the southeastern region. And between 12 and 16 degrees in the remaining areas.
The sea will be calm to slightly choppy along the Mediterranean coast. Slightly choppy to rough between the Strait of Gibraltar and from Tan-Tan to Laayoune. Rough to very rough between Tangier and Tan-Tan. And rough in the south.
