The attempt to execute a judicial seizure on one of the ships of the maritime shipping company GNV on the night of Friday to Saturday, December 13, at the port of Sète in France, led to significant chaos and confusion among dozens of travelers, who remained stranded for long hours without any clear information or alternative travel solutions.
Local authorities and port management did not provide precise explanations regarding the nature of the judicial procedure. Meanwhile, sources from French media confirmed that the ferry was subject to a judicial seizure that led to the postponement of sailing without an official clarification of the reasons.
Although the ferry departed the port later, questions remain about GNV’s ability to manage crises and organize its maritime trips in a safe and reliable manner, especially with its regular services from Sète to Morocco and Algeria.
