On Thursday, July 10, activist Lahcen Lakoune reported that the governor of Azilal requested a 10-day extension to address the demands of the residents of Ait Boukamaz.
A march organized by the community reached the Azilal prefecture, with large crowds participating to protest the marginalization faced by their locality.
According to the activist, the governor responded positively to their concerns. He requested a 10-day period to address at least three key demands: expanding the communication network to cover the area, providing a doctor in collaboration with an association, and granting building permits to certain low-income groups, also in partnership with an association.
Regarding other requests, particularly for a football field, the governor indicated that plans for a field in the community are underway. Additionally, there is a study in progress to improve road access, along with scheduled meetings to discuss further demands.
