On Wednesday, July 9, the General Directorate of National Security announced new appointments to leadership positions within its decentralized services. The updates affect various cities, including Oujda, Khemisset, Errachidia, Rabat, Touissit Bou Bakr, Marrakech, Wislane, and Casablanca.
The new appointments, approved by the Director General of National Security, Abdellatif Hammouchi, involve 11 leadership roles. Among these are the appointment of a Deputy Security Commissioner for Oujda and three heads of police districts in Khemisset, Casablanca, and Rabat. Additionally, a head of the traffic accident department in Khemisset, a head of the judicial police in Wislane, and a head of an administrative unit in a security region within Casablanca’s police department were named.
The adjustments also include the assignment of security personnel to various units of the uniformed police. This includes the appointment of a head for the urban police in Touissit Bou Bakr and two heads for traffic divisions in Errachidia and Marrakech. Furthermore, a head for the mobile unit responsible for maintaining order in Oujda has been designated.
These decisions are part of an ongoing initiative aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and productivity of police human resources by facilitating the rotation of leadership roles. The field management of police facilities is being entrusted to highly trained and qualified personnel capable of implementing action plans aimed at strengthening citizen security and safeguarding property.
