Sony Music Releases Sherine’s New Album ‘Betmanna Ansak’
Sony Music officially released Sherine Abdel Wahab’s new album, "Betmanna Ansak," across various music streaming platforms on Saturday, June 28. This release coincides with an anticipated concert by the popular Arab singer at the Mawazine Festival in Morocco.
Split from Rotana
The album "Betmanna Ansak" had previously been leaked amid Sherine’s legal struggles with Rotana, which had attempted to remove it from all platforms for months. The artist eventually received a ruling affirming her ownership of the song rights.
Despite these challenges, the songs have achieved significant success, particularly the title track, which has become a trending topic on various music platforms and social media.
Notably, "Betmanna Ansak" is the only Arabic song by a Middle Eastern artist to rank among the top 50 most streamed songs in Morocco on Spotify, a ranking typically dominated by Moroccan rap artists.
Production by Sony Music
The songs officially became available on streaming platforms a month ago, quickly climbing to the top in several Arab countries. Sony Music has now announced its official ownership of the album.
Sherine: The Most Streamed Arab Artist
Sherine Abdel Wahab currently holds the title of the most streamed Arab artist globally on Spotify, with at least 4 million monthly listeners for her older songs. With the official release of "Betmanna Ansak," her streaming numbers are expected to increase, alongside new tracks she plans to release, including a collaboration with artist Fadl Shaker.
