Elected representatives from the municipality of Asilah attended a meeting at the Tangier provincial headquarters to participate in a consultative session regarding the new generation of programs for territorial development, where they expressed concerns about the city’s exclusion.
Municipality President Tarek Ghilan, along with three of his deputies, addressed the challenges faced by Asilah during the meeting held on Tuesday, November 11. Much of the discussion centered on local issues related to health, water, and transportation, with particular emphasis on the city’s marginalization and the concentration of large projects in Tangier.
Deputy Ahmed Al-Jaidi questioned the reasons behind Asilah’s exclusion by the regional council and the provincial council, asserting that the city is not receiving its fair share of resources.
