The picture that Yamal shared on his Instagram account was considered by followers to be an indirect response to the recent statements made by the president of the Moroccan Royal Football Federation, Fouzi Lekjaa, where he spoke about the player’s situation and his decision to defend the colors of Spain, sarcastically stating, “I don’t know any Spaniard named Jamal.”
