The Disciplinary Committee of the Confederation of African Football has decided to suspend both players Achraf Hakimi and Ismail Sabri due to the towel incident in the Africa Cup final.
Thus, it was decided to suspend Achraf Hakimi for two (2) official matches under CAF, one (1) of which is to be suspended for one (1) year starting from the date of the decision, due to unsportsmanlike conduct.
And also to suspend Ismail Sabri for three (3) official matches under CAF, due to unsportsmanlike conduct. A financial fine of 100,000 US dollars was imposed on him.
