Very Strong Winds in More than 30 Moroccan Areas

The General Directorate of Meteorology expects to register strong showers and rain, with locally strong stormy winds, today Wednesday and tomorrow Thursday, in several areas of the kingdom.

The Directorate clarified, in an alert bulletin of “orange” vigilance level, that strong showers and rain (ranging from 60 to 100 mm) are expected in the regions and provinces of Tetouan, Chefchaouen, Larache, Taounate, and Al Hoceima, and from 30 to 60 mm in Fahs-Anjra, Mdiq-Fnideq, Tangier-Assilah, and Wazan, starting today Wednesday at eleven in the morning until tomorrow Thursday at six in the evening.

The Directorate also expects to register locally strong stormy winds (between 75 and 95 km/h) in Chefchaouen, Berkane, Fahs-Anjra, Al Hoceima, Oujda-Angad, Nador, Guercif, Driouch, Mdiq-Fnideq, Tetouan, Taourirt, Boulemane, Taza, Moulay Yacoub, Tata, Ouarzazate, Figuig, Jerada, Wazan, Tangier, Assilah, Taroudant, Tiznit, Sidi Kacem, Larache, Taounate, Tinghir, Kenitra, Hajeb, Ifrane, Midelt, Meknes, Fez, and Sefrou, starting today Wednesday at eleven in the morning until tomorrow Thursday at six in the evening.
