Police Inspector Extorts Citizen for Bribe

The provincial judicial police service in Agadir initiated a judicial investigation on Friday, November 7, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office. This investigation concerns criminal acts attributed to a police inspector in the city of Ouled Teima, who was caught in the act of receiving a bribe from one of the parties involved in a regulatory case.

The aforementioned police officer has been placed in custody pending investigations to clarify all circumstances surrounding this case. Investigative procedures are ongoing to verify whether another police officer was involved in these criminal acts or participated in them.
