On the evening of Wednesday, November 5, police in the Tétouan Security Directorate, in coordination with the national intelligence agency, seized 26,550 drug pills and arrested two individuals aged 20 and 25. They are suspected of being linked to a criminal network involved in international drug trafficking using drones.
The suspects were apprehended while in possession of and distributing narcotics. The search operation revealed that they possessed 26,550 medically prescribed drug pills of various types.
The operation also led to the confiscation of 235 grams of cocaine, in addition to 10 batteries for drones suspected to be used in international drug trafficking across border points.
The suspects have been submitted to a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office to determine the potential extensions of this criminal activity and uncover all criminal acts attributed to them.
