The Netherlands was knocked out of the football World Cup after a penalty shootout against Morocco, leading to tumultuous celebrations among Moroccan fans in the streets.
Geert Wilders, the leader of the right-wing anti-immigration Party for Freedom (PVV), responded to the resulting clashes between fans and police in The Hague by calling for the deportation of those involved, along with their families, from the country.
Wilders didn’t hold back on X, asserting that the “troublemakers” responsible for the unrest should be “sent back” to Morocco.
Veeg die straten schoon en zet het reltuig met familie uit naar Marokko. Dit is ons land. Wegwezen! #NEDMAR #Schilderswijk https://t.co/IR8pLKIcnO

In a follow-up statement, Wilders insisted on stricter measures against the rioters, arguing that without arrests, there would be no change.
He expressed that a victory celebration should have been peaceful but instead turned chaotic. “We expect proper celebrations, yet even in victory, police are shot at and riots erupt in Schilderswijk. Until we apprehend these individuals and deport them to Morocco with their families, nothing will improve,” he said.
Wilders further commented:
If something like this happened in Morocco and you were from Qatar or another Gulf nation, you and your family would face deportation.
