The defense of the maid, Shaima al-Shawania, revealed that she herself fell victim to the main suspect in the case of the singer’s stolen gold from her home in the city of Tangier, under the pretext of “romance and love and a promise of marriage.”
During the trial session of the maid, Salma, who is 19 years old, on Thursday, June 12, her defense stated that the main suspect, “Mohamed Reda,” who is currently fleeing, deceived the girl.
According to the same source, he established a romantic relationship with her that reached the point of her becoming pregnant out of wedlock, which placed the maid in a vulnerable position, compelled to carry out his requests in hopes of marrying her lover, who was, in turn, planning to rob the homeowner’s money.
Thus, the “lover” asked the maid to facilitate his entry into the house, where he targeted only the gold, of which he completely knew the location and details, before disappearing from sight along with the money he gained from selling the gold.
The man left behind the girl and her unborn child, resulting in a ruling imprisoning her for 8 years, after she admitted everything as soon as she was questioned.
