The security authority of Agadir reacted with great seriousness to a video posted on social media pages on Tuesday, April 28, which shows a group of individuals near a car in the “Tadrart” area of Agadir. The video is accompanied by a commentary claiming that it concerns an attack by a criminal gang on one of the residences.
Investigations and inquiries conducted in light of this video clarified that the incident occurred on April 21 and that it pertains to a case handled by the police services of the Agadir security authority, regarding personal disputes between two groups of individuals that escalated into physical assault against two individuals using a bladed weapon.
Immediate security interventions resulted in identifying the suspects and arresting two of them, who were in an advanced state of intoxication, in addition to seizing a bladed weapon and a vehicle used in committing these criminal acts.
The suspects were subjected to custody measures pending the judicial investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to uncover all circumstances and details of this case, as well as to identify the real motives behind committing these criminal acts.
