Based on precise data provided by the General Directorate for National Territorial Surveillance, elements of the judicial police in the city of Safi were able to arrest a person suspected of involvement in publishing digital content that threatens public security. This was through inciting the manufacturing and use of a traditional firearm.
The National Security Services reacted quickly and seriously to a video that was circulated on social media, in which the suspect explained in detail how to assemble a firearm using readily available scrap components and using it to launch dangerous projectiles.
The security services initiated an investigation regarding the video, under the supervision of the competent public prosecution, which resulted in the identification of the suspect and his arrest at his home in the “Jemaa Sihim” area on the outskirts of Safi.
The suspect is currently being subjected to judicial investigation entrusted to the judicial police in the city of Safi under the supervision of the competent public prosecution.
