A light aircraft crashed today, Sunday, in the vicinity of Cherif Al-Idrisi Airport in the city of Al-Hoceima, resulting in the death of two people who were on board, according to initial data reported by international media, including AFP.
According to consistent sources, the accident occurred just a few minutes after the aircraft took off or during the initial phase of flight, before it fell near the airport and crashed.
Initial data indicated that the victims were a pilot and a passenger of a nationality believed to be French, while the relevant authorities have not yet officially announced their identities or any other details concerning them.
The light aircraft was on a flight linked to an air route between Morocco and France, with a technical stop at Al-Hoceima Airport for refueling, without any official data available to date regarding the causes of the accident.
