On the evening of Wednesday, November 5, members of the police in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, in coordination with the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance, seized 26,550 narcotic tablets and arrested two individuals aged 20 and 25. They are suspected of being connected to a criminal network involved in the international drug trafficking using drones.
The suspects were apprehended while in possession of and trafficking drugs, with the search operation revealing 26,550 assorted narcotic tablets in their possession.
The operation also resulted in the seizure of 235 grams of cocaine and 10 drone batteries believed to be used in international drug trafficking across border points.
Both suspects are currently under judicial investigation, supervised by the relevant public prosecution, to identify any further extensions of this criminal activity and to uncover all related criminal acts attributed to them.
