The local authorities in Tangier issued a decision that completely prohibits organizing any demonstration or gathering in public streets today, Saturday, June 20, 2026, by what is known as the “Moroccan Front for Supporting Palestine and Opposing Normalization.”
The decision stated, “It is completely prohibited to organize a demonstration in public streets on Saturday, 2026/06/20 by what is referred to as the Moroccan Front for Supporting Palestine and Opposing Normalization in Tangier.”
The authorities warned that any violation of this prohibition “will subject those responsible for the demonstration or gathering to punitive penalties.”
The front had called for a demonstration starting at seven in the evening, claiming that the “Optimist” Championship sees the participation of athletes from the State of Israel.
