The police elements in the security province of Beni Mellal, in coordination with their counterparts in Kenitra, and based on information provided by the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance, were able, in the early hours of the morning on Saturday, June 20, to arrest a 33-year-old individual, suspected of being involved in a case related to serious assault using a white weapon.
The suspect had previously attacked a mosque imam in Kenitra with a white weapon on Thursday, for reasons that investigations are currently working to determine, where the research and investigations conducted led to his identification.
The ongoing investigations in this case led to identifying the location of the suspect in the rural area of “Afourar” on the outskirts of Beni Mellal, before he was arrested during a security operation carried out in coordination with the Royal Gendarmerie.
The suspect has been subjected to judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecution, to uncover all the circumstances and details of this case, as well as to determine the true motives behind committing these criminal acts.
