The Casablanca Security Authority stated that it has reviewed a video published on social media, showing a person speaking with a lady in a public street before forcing her into a car. This incident was accompanied by comments that undermine the general feeling of security.
In order to enlighten public opinion and dispel any incorrect news that may have been caused by this video, the authority confirmed in a statement that it has opened a thorough investigation which concluded that there was no suspicion of detention or abduction with a criminal background in this case.
It added that the completed investigations allowed the identification of the person and the lady appearing in the video, who were found to be from the same family, and that the person in question was attempting to return his relative home due to family disputes.
The Casablanca Security Authority noted that while it seeks to clarify the truth of the published video, it emphasizes that the judicial investigation in this case is still ongoing under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor.
